Queen Elizabeth might’ve had to put all her engagements on hold because of Covid-19 but she’s still finding creative ways to keep herself entertained.

The 94-year-old monarch is currently under lockdown with Prince Philip at Windsor Castle and while it remains unclear when she’ll resume her duties, this period has given her more time to spend with her husband, Express UK reports.

According to a royal insider, while the queen is looking to return to her duties "as soon as she possibly can", she is in "excellent spirits" while under lockdown with Prince Philip.

"One of the nicest things for the queen is that she is getting to spend more time with her husband than she usually would," a source revealed.

"They have dinner together in the evenings and I imagine the queen is of the generation where she dresses for dinner."

And when the queen isn’t spending time with her husband, she is enjoying one of her pastimes which is horse riding, HELLO! Magazine reports.

"The queen is riding every day and is making the most of her time" the insider revealed.

But more than anything she is "looking forward to getting back to normal", Vanity Fair reports.
