Movie: The Seagull (Die Seemeeu)

Our rating: 4/5

Short review: Performed in Afrikaans, with English subtitles, the characters are easily recognised, yet appear as if they were written for this new setting.

Movie: Galveston

Our rating: 2/5

Short review: There is so much to admire in it but Galveston is so deeply unpleasant that it’s all but impossible to actually recommend to anyone but the most hardcore crime-noir fans.
