After many rumours and stops and starts the third film in the series has finally been confirmed.

Will shared the happy news on Instagram. In the video Will, who is joined by Lawrence, says: "Yo, yo. I’m telling y'all. I’m telling y'all this is crazy, wait, wait, just wait — it's official! It's official, baby! It's official! Bad boys 3 is happening! It's official! It's official! (sic)"

"That's it — no more! Y'all can’t handle no more of that (sic)," he added.

Martin shared the same video saying: "Can’t wait to hit the ground running! Blessed to be a part of such a great film with my brotha @willsmith. We still gotta learn the words to the song though! (sic)"
