WATCH: The trailer for A Star is Born will blow you away!

Cape Town – The trailer for A Star is Born has finally been released. 

After facing a number of failed attempts by Clint Eastwood to revive the remake of the musical drama, Bradley Cooper signed on as star and director in 2016. 

Lady Gaga was cast in the lead female role. 

The story follows fading country crooner Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) who helps an aspiring star Ally (Gaga) find her feet in the world of fame whilst his own career spirals downwards.

The clip opens with Maine on stage at country music festival singing a country song. And yes, that is really Cooper singing. 

It then moves on to scenes in a bar where Jackson discovers Ally, a struggling musician. 

What follows is a montage of scenes from the film and ends with Ally belting out, The Shallow, written by Mark Ronson on stage.
