The latest update on Sam Smith ticket refund for SA tour

Cape Town - Big Concerts and Computicket have announced that ticket holders who attended Sam Smith's Cape Town concert – which was cut short after 45 minutes – can receive a full refund along with all other ticket holders for the artist's cancelled shows on 17 and 18 April.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, 24 April and the cut-off date for all refunds will be Friday, 31 May 2019.

Sam's Cape Town show that was supposed to be the first of three took place on Tuesday, 16 April at GrandWest's Grand Arena and the British singer walked off stage after less than hour, due to a voice strain.

Sam's SA tour was scheduled to have five stops in total, with two shows in Joburg preceding the cancelled Cape Town shows.

In a full statement released on the day after the event, the organisers said about the cancellations and refunds: "Sam is deeply upset that he is unable to perform for his fans in Cape Town but needs to rest at this time."
