Angelina Jolie has a lot of resentment towards Brad Pitt: 'She wants him to be held accountable'

Cape Town - Angelina Jolie still has anger towards Brad Pitt, a source recently revealed.

An insider recently told US Weekly that the Maleficent actress isn’t able to be friends with her ex because she’s still bitter towards him.

"Angelina still has a lot of resentment towards Brad," the source said.

"She wants him to be held accountable because she feels he turned her and the children’s lives upside down."

The 44-year-old actress and the actor, who were married for two years, called it quits in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, The Sun reports.

The pair share custody of their six children, Maddox (18), Pax (15), Zahara (14) Shiloh (13) and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

In a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, the mom opened up about her complicated divorce from the 55-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor.

"It was complicated. I didn’t recognise myself anymore and I’d become, how do I say this, smaller, insignificant, even if I didn’t show it," Angelina said.

"I was profoundly, deeply sad. I was hurt. On the other hand, it was interesting to tap into this humility and sense of insignificance."

The star revealed that she was able to teach her children the lessons she learnt throughout the tough process.

"It’s a lesson I pass onto my children: the idea of renewal, and through it all, the possibility of joy. I had to rediscover the joy."
