A regular on TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Darcey Silva, first stole hearts when she appeared on season 1 and 2 of the spin-off series with Dutch ex-boyfriend Jesse Meester. After their tumultuous relationship fell apart, the 45-year-old mother of two returned in season 3, hoping to find ever-lasting love with British businessman Tom Brooks.

Following season 3's The Couples Tell All episode in October, viewers learnt that Darcey and Tom called it quits after the pair struggled to keep the fire of their long distance relationship alive. But based on the season 4 trailer, it seems as if Darcey and Tom could be giving their relationship a second chance.

About returning for another season, Darcey tells Channel24: "You know, season 4 is pretty exciting. I think that my storyline is very relatable in the sense that everyone wants love in the end. And the fact that it didn't work out the first two times with Jesse, you know, that's okay. I don't give up on love. I'm still trying to search for it."

"I had known Tom for many years, and we reconnected after the breakup. He was there for me, and I trusted him. It felt like the right thing to do, to finally see him in person. We had talked about it for a long time, and we definitely had a connection. I was happy to go on that journey," she further explains.

But when Darcey returned home after the season 3 finale aired, she said that lack of communication lead to conflict in their relationship. "You know, we both love to travel, and that was hard at times," she says.

When asked what changed between the pair since the Couples Tell All episode aired last year, Darcey says: "You know, Tom and I, we've always been amazing friends, first and foremost.  I think that set a great foundation for a relationship and everything."

"But you've got to stay strong, and you've got to trust. You've got to trust each other a lot," she adds, saying that viewers will have to watch the show to find out how their relationship will unfold.

In the new trailer we see Darcey and Tom meeting up at a restaurant, but their reunion is far from a warm one. When Tom goes in for a hug, Darcey replies: "No, that's okay. I don't feel comfortable."

Later during the trailer, we see Darcey trying on a wedding dress at a boutique. On whether they were simply tying up loose ends, or if they've rekindled their romance, Darcey remains tight-lipped, saying: "I have a big heart and he does too. So, you guys will have to see what happens. But I think I have my voice heard a lot, in this season, which is really cool."

In the new season, Darcey says we will be seeing "fewer tears, and less crying". She laughs, saying that she approached love and relationships differently this time around. She says: "You know, I can't always be a 'yes' person. Follow your heart, you know, and stay strong for yourself so you can be an inspiration to others, and to your family and your children."

Throughout the season we only see a small percentage of the couples' relationship play out on TV, but Darcey emphasises that the emotions on screen are "very real". Viewers have called out Darcey for being too emotional and wearing her heart on her sleeve, but according to the model, it doesn't bother her. "You're going to be judged in life regardless, and you have to fix things for yourself and do what feels most comfortable for you," she says.

In season 3 it became apparent that Darcey and Tom had different expectations from the relationship. Viewers were led to believe that Darcey was expecting a proposal, while Tom was still feeling out the relationship.

Clearing up any misconceptions about herself and what was portrayed on the show Darcey says: "I feel like people see me as 'desperate Darcey', and really I'm not. I love to love, and I don't give up on it. She explains that Tom told her that he loved her, and that he saw marriage in their future. She elaborates, saying: "It's not like I was the only one saying it. He said: 'I love you, Darcey,' and sometimes that wasn't being shown."

Over the course of three seasons, viewers formed their own opinions about Darcey based on what they saw on TV. Darcey explains that the show is only a fraction of who she is.

"I have two amazing, beautiful daughters, and I raise them full time. I know that people see my sister and me travelling a lot, but we work in the industry. We've been in the industry for over ten years. I've worked in films, and we're in the process of re-branding our company House of Eleven," she explains.

Darcey and her twin sister, Stacey's brother died at 27 in 1998, and a lot of what they've built has been to honour him. "He was born on 11 May and died on 11 July.  So that's where the number 11 comes, like 11-11 on the clock - manifesting your power and owning the things that you do."

The reality star and her sister also spent most of their younger years moving around, and she has lived in London, Japan, Singapore, and all over the United States.

In season 3, Darcey and Tom spent several days in Albania with Stacey and her foreign fiancé of five years, Florian Sukaj.

The twins were an instant hit with their witty banter, and underhanded jabs, going on to appear together on episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk

When asked if they would ever consider their own spin-off, Darcey says that it would be "really cool", saying: "I think Florian is so open about life, and he's learning too. You know, he's younger than Stacey. We both like the younger guys, for some reason, but it just works for us. So, we definitely have a lot to say in life. And it definitely would be interesting to watch!"

Darcey calls the new season "amazing and groundbreaking", as this will also be the first season to feature a same-sex couple. "I admire a lot of the couples for going through the journey, and rising above and making the best out of the opportunity." Some of her favourite couples from the franchise include Russ and Paola, David and Annie and Loren and Alexei.

When asked if she has plans to visit South Africa in the future, she responds enthusiastically, saying: "I would love to. Can I come? Can I come today? I have my luggage right in front of me; I just got back from Miami. I'm ready to go. I'll take the girls with me one day. I would love to go one day, definitely."

To her local fans, she says: "I'll see you guys soon. I'll be there one day. Thank you for all the love and support."
