FIRST LOOK: Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth in The Crown season 3

Cape Town – Netflix has released a first look of Olivia Colman in The Crown.

Colman takes over the role as Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy for seasons three and four which will be set in the 60s and early 70s.

Other new cast members include: Helen Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

In the picture Colman looks regal as she sips her tea.

Colman is no stranger to royal roles as she previously played The Queen Mother in Bill Murray's Hyde Park on Hudson and will play Queen Anne in Yorgos Lanthimos’s film The Favourite

Season 3 is scheduled for release in 2019.
