WATCH: 4 South Africans at the 2019 BET Awards

Cape Town - Sho Madjozi won big at the 2019 BET Awards held in Los Angeles, winning Best New International Act.

Sho made history as the first South African female to win the award.

Rapper AKA was nominated for Best International Act but lost to Nigeria's Burna Boy.

Nomalanga Shozi collaborated with Rich Mnisi for a stylish designer garment valued at R94 000, andhosted the international red carpet alongside British-Congolese comedian Eddie Kadi.

Nomzamo Mbatha caught the eye of the international press, wearing a Loin Cloth & Ashes grey tent dress, with flower embellishments.
