WATCH: Babes Wodumo's explanation of stopped performance leaves fans confused | Drum

Just days after being criticised for starring in a music video with Mampintsha, Babes Wodumo has found herself involved in more drama – this time about a performance she was booked for in Durban.

Taking to Twitter, the Ka Dazz hitmaker posted a video in which she explains why she was unable to perform at Nuz Vegas Lounge in Umlazi on Saturday. In the tweet, Babes suggests there was an altercation that left her crew injured after the promoter and owner allegedly stopped her performance.

“To all my Umlazi fans I love you too much. My performance was stopped by the promoter and owner of Nuz Vegas. I’m hurting because my sister/manager has a broken finger, my drummer has a cut on his lip my hand is painful [sic],” she wrote and added broken hearts.

Although Babes doesn’t explain how her entourage was allegedly injured, she does say the purpose of the video was to tell her fans what happened so the story doesn’t get twisted. But fans still didn’t understand what happened and were left even more confused.

Taking to Facebook to tell his side of the story, Jackson Mpula of Nuz Vegas Lounge claimed Babes’ performance was stopped due to her arriving late and insulting his customers.

“She was sent the line up and times on Friday. She showed up at 04:00, our closing time. While I was talking to her manager upstairs about refund or schedule another day she started performing.I went down stairs and found my customers very angry with her apparently she said something about Mlazi bitches and I couldn't let her continue disrespecting my customers on top of the disrespect of coming late, refusing to take pictures with her fans and so on [sic],” he wrote.
