Mmabatho Mantsho’s film ‘The Award Ceremony’ selected to screen at international film festival

Cape Town - Former Generations actress Mmabatho Mantsho has reason to celebrate.

A film which she directed called The Award Ceremony has been selected to screen at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival in Arizona in next year.

According to the festival's website it "educates, supports, and empowers women in the collaborative endeavor of filmmaking while we shine a light on women's stories, stories by women, and other diverse experiences across all genders."

The festival announced the film's selected on Twitter on Monday. 

The filmmaker and veteran actress shared the exciting news on Instagram.

She wrote: "The week is off to a great start. Our film, The Award Ceremony, has been selected for it’s first film festival, Worldwide Women’s Film Festival in Arizona, USA. Congratulations to our brilliant cast and crew! To God be the glory."
