PICS: Suzette van der Merwe shares Miss SA flashback photos from 1990

Former Miss South Africa Suzette van der Merwe shared several throwback photos from when she took home the title in 1990.

"Cleaning up my study and came across these few gems," Suzette wrote on Instagram. "Not to point out the obvious but my eyebrows have had a journey of their own over the past few decades," she jokingly added. 

The former beauty queen, who recently tied the knot, also shared a cover from a 1990 Fairlady, writing: "Loved, loved, loved the natural makeup, hair and styling as well as the crew/team that produced the images. Good vibes only."

Miss South Africa sisters Ade van Heerden and Liesl Laurie complimented Suzette on the beautiful photos.

Suzette isn't the only South African pageant queen who has been feeling nostalgic, Margaret Gardiner also recently shared photos from her 1978 Miss Universe reign.
