Johannesburg – The three-hour Miss World competition airs on Saturday afternoon (14 December) in London, and the contestants have put in a lot of hard work to make sure that the show goes off without a hitch.
The pageant is about more than just walking the runway – the girls also have to learn synchronised dance numbers, and of course, battle through those nerves to make sure they're on their A-game during the question and answer round.
In an interview some of the ladies spoke about what it's like learning the choreography for the show and how they're feeling leading up to the big night.
While anxious, many said that they cannot wait for the competition to get underway.
Representing South Africa at the 2019 edition of the show is Sasha-Lee Olivier.
The 26-year-old impressed pageant fans in the first head-to-head challenge when she spoke about her Beauty with a Purpose campaign, and now will go up against participants from around the globe as they battle it out for the crown.
The Miss World pageant will air in South Africa on SABC 3 at 17:00. The broadcast will be delayed, starting one hour later than the live show.
