Cape Town - Newly crowned Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi from the Eastern Cape says she wants to help change beauty norms and hopes her win will inspire other young girls to pursue their dreams.
Sunday saw the crowning of the 68th Miss Universe at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
"For me to be able to be here crowned Miss Universe, with my hair looking the way that it does and my skin looking the way that it does, is truly magical. And I hope that it touches every child who grew up the way that I did, and was told that they were not beautiful - and it even extends beauty because it's not just about beauty it's about breaking boundaries and doing things you were told that you can never do before," she said after being crowned.
