Cape Town - Losing a loved one is something everyone has gone through but our journeys are never the same.
After losing her husband just two months after tying the knot, 28-year-old actress Simphiwe Ngema is finding it difficult to “get over it” as she writes in a poem she posted on her Instagram account.
The couple was one of South Africa’s most-loved pairs and they often shared their cute pics and funny vids on social media.
So it’s no surprise Simphiwe has been very open to her followers about her grief and healing.
In the poem, she writes: “I wanna learn to laugh with no guilt. To dance to my heartbeat. And let my spirit sing. I want to fly! But all I seem to do is cry.”
Even though it’s heartbreaking, her journey is inspiring to others who are going through the same thing.
Some of her followers commented: “I am inspired because we are walking on the same path and seeing you like this gives me comfort that I am not alone, please stay strong.”
“One thing l know the pain won’t go away but you just learn to live with the pain...20 months now since my hubby passed away @simzngema ask the Holy Spirit to give you strength.Take heart sisi, (sic)” said another.
