Cape Town - Being spoilt rotten by her daughter is the norm for Modiehi Thulo.
If Boity Thulo (29) is not buying her mom Louis Vuitton and Gucci bags, she is enjoying fine dining or an island vacation. For her 49th birthday, Modiehi was not expecting the red Mercedes Benz parked in her front lawn.
"My mom is not fussy, she would have even appreciated a bunch of flowers. But celebrating her while I still can means the world to me, that's why on every occasion and every moment I try to make her feel as special as possible," Boity tells DRUM.
"I want to always remind her how incredible she is so that when she passes one day, I would have no regrets and she would have enjoyed her life," she says.
Boity chose the colour and the model of the car. "My mom has always wanted a drop-top. So, this one is very similar to her dream car but it’s an upgraded version."
She thought of spoiling her mom some more by even hosting a lavish dinner but her friends and family told her the car is enough.
"My mom has supported me in everything that I do and seeing her happy makes me happy. So, I'll just let her enjoy her new baby," she says.
