Her daily routine usually involves shoots, costume changes and filming the popular reality TV show Real Housewives of Johannesburg. But now that the country is in an extended lockdown due to Covid-19, Brinnette Seopela's daily routine has changed quite drastically.
She shares it with us and, honestly, it's very relatable.
WAKE UP
No set time.
"These days everything seems to be moving at a different pace and I find myself waking up much later than usual."
First thing after waking up: "Start my day by expressing my gratitude to God for blessing me with another day to live and love, especially now with the current situation we are facing in our country. Currently, I’ve been terrible and extremely lazy when it comes to gym, so I don’t tend to eat like I used to."
Breakfast: "I have a protein shake and snack in between."
Lunch: "Light salad."
Dinner: "I have a full meal, which is not really advisable because your body does not tend to burn all the calories in your sleep. I’m definitely not eating more but because I’ve been very lazy to exercise, I find myself snacking a lot."
In between meals: "I have a lot of telephonic/Skype meetings with my manager and business partners as we prepare for what's ahead on the other side of this lockdown situation."
Watchlist: "I watch a lot of news but other than that I'm a movie junkie. I've watched everything on DStv Catch Up/BoxOffice and now I’m binge-watching series on Netflix."
Bedtime: "Is there such a thing during lockdown?"
"Emotionally, everything that's happening is taking its toll on me and I imagine a lot of people, I think the uncertainty can also make us quite paranoid. But prayer really helps me, and just the privilege of being able to pick up the phone and speak to your loved ones is a blessing."
