One year later: Relive Tamaryn Green's crowning moment

Johannesburg – One year after taking the title of Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green is reflecting on her journey and how much she has grown.

The beauty queen shared a message on social media on Monday, writing: "How time flies. Exactly one year ago I was crowned Miss South Africa 2018. My emotions run high when I think of all that I've encountered, enjoyed, learned, battled with and eventually overcame in the past year."

She added: "I am still the same woman with the same heart, whose dream was to make a difference in her country. Only now, I'm a whole lot stronger and wiser."

Tamaryn took to the top spot at the 60th edition of the competition, and a few months later went on to represent South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant where she was crowned first princess
