According to the rail company’s website, they are running a promotion on Saturday, where South Africans will get to ride the Gautrain for free to the airport and back, where Zozi Tunzi will be landing. However, only four stations around Gautrain will be running the promotions and passengers are required to use the passcode #GautrainTookMeThere to qualify for the free ride.

"If you’d like to join us to celebrate #AfricanBeauty and give our Zozi a welcome to remember, the Gautrain is offering free trips to the airport between 6.30am and 8am on Saturday from the following stations: Park, Pretoria, Midrand and Marlboro," they wrote.

"Then, from 9am to 11am, you will also be entitled to a free trip back to these stations from the airport. Simply look for the Gautrain personnel at the fare gates and state the passcode #GautrainTookMeThere to receive an armband. This armband will entitle you to ride the Gautrain to the airport on 8 February 2020 to give our amazing Zozi a homecoming fit for a queen, and then back again. No armband, no free trip."

However, the promotion will not apply to those who will be carrying luggage.

"Please note that only those who are not carrying luggage (in other words, not flying out from the airport) may take advantage of this limited promotional offer," they wrote.

Zozi’s tour will officially begin on Saturday, 8 February where she will be arriving at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. She will then head to her hometown of Tsolo in the Eastern Cape where she is expected to reveal a mural which has been created in her honour and visit her primary school on 9 February and 10 February respectively.

Zozi will then parade around Johannesburg in an open-top bus on the morning of Thursday, 13 February before ending off her tour in Cape Town on Friday, 14 February.
