Cape Town - One of Mzansi’s most loved couples, actress Dineo and rapper Solo Langa who secretly tied the knot in May 2019 celebrated their eight-year anniversary recently.

The couple, who had their white wedding in September, took to their respective Instagram accounts and shared how Solo proposed during their baecation in Mozambique a year ago.
“This time last year 07.01.2019... (Back Story) on an island in Mozambique... He, @thisissolo, stood behind me pretending that we're taking a picture. I kept asking for him to put his arm around me, but it just wasn't happening. Low & behold, he was on one knee behind me asking me to marry him,” Dineo wrote.
“Today, 07.01.2020, marks 8 years since the Love Of My Life asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. Happy Anniversary my love. Thank you for the best 8 years of my life and a lifetime of joy, love & breathtaking memories to go. You still make me so so happy. I love you with every fibre of my being,” she added.
Solo also posted an Instagram post dedicated to his wife, sharing a 5-minute long video from their holiday leading up to how he proposed, which he says he was nervous about.
“Everything (nothing) went according to plan on the day. Leading up to our anniversary, I couldn't sleep. My stomach was upset the whole time. I'd wake up at around 4 or 5am each morning,” he wrote.
“Point is, after 7 years of being together, I genuinely assumed that I would be calm and collected come the day of proposing. I was nervous. I was overly trying to be cool and composed. I was re-scripting my words in my head the whole time.Looking back now, it all makes sense. Nothing about that proposal was meant to be taken lightly. Nothing about our bond is trivial. Exactly a year later, it feels good to have come full circle. A feat I am extremely proud of,” he added.
