Trevor Noah joined talk show host Ellen DeGeneres once again for a chat – but this time it was from their homes.
As many countries worldwide continue to practice social distancing to combat the coronavirus, talk show hosts, including Ellen, Jimmy Fallon, and Trevor Noah, have all been recording their shows from their houses.
Speaking to Trevor via a video call, Ellen asked the SA comedian about how he has been dealing with self-isolation and filming The Daily Show from his New York apartment.
"I won't lie, I'm doing as well as one can be doing in this situation. I've always been an introvert. I've always been an indoor child. So, I mean, staying indoors is not a punishment for me," Trevor told Ellen, adding that some of his friends are going crazy longing to be outside.
"Other than worrying about what will happen to the world, I'm pretty chilled out," he went on to say.
So, what would be the last straw for Trevor when it comes to isolating? Cutting his own hair. The comedian has been allowing his hair to grow during this period, joking that if he ever gets to the point where he cuts it himself, that's when he has "truly given up".
"Cause I feel like that's the moment in life when you feel like you've made a major life change – when you cut your own hair. You know, it's that scene in the movie where everything is lost, and you start shearing it off. I'm not ready for that, so I'm just going to let it grow."
Speaking about the difficulties faced while filming his show at home, Trevor pointed out that not having an audience was "the worst part" of the experience for him.
"I like to make people feel better. I like to make them laugh. So, doing this is a very strange experience."
Trevor and Ellen also touched on American politics, as well as their appreciation for essential workers.
