What's better than a music video by Lizzo? How about one by Lizzo and the Queer Eye cast?
Usually, a new song by Lizzo is enough to keep me smiling all day, and when I saw she had enlisted the help of Jonathan, Antoni, Tan, Karamo and Bobby, I was over the moon.
The animated video is for the singer's track, Soulmate.
It follows Lizzo through a journey of self-discovery. With the help of the Fab 5, the singer realises she does not need anyone else to make her happy.
"Cause I'm my own soulmate. I know how to love me. I know that I'm always going to hold me down," the lyrics echo proudly.
Released during Pride Month, the video is sprinkled with rainbows - a nod to the rainbow flag which is a symbol of the LGBTQ community.
Lizzo has always been a cheerleader for self-love and acceptance, so this upbeat single is definitely in line with what we've come to expect from her. Excuse me while I add it to my playlist.
