Cape Town - Things got a little awkward on social media after Ayanda Ncwane had to set the record straight about a picture of Abathandwa lead singer Percy Nyoka wearing what appeared to be her late husband Sfiso Ncwane’s adidas tracksuit pants.
In a since deleted Instagram post, the mother-of-two explained that although she does not owe anyone an explanation, the pants worn by the gospel star are hers and not her husbands.
“However, because of the concerned citizens”, she explained.
“Percy is definitely wearing my tracksuit pants and not baby Ncwane’s. All of my husband’s important clothes are kept for my children kuphela (only).”
Percy Nyoka who is the lead singer of Abathanwa – a group signed under Sfiso Ncwane’s record company.
Ayanda and Sfiso were always known for their matching outfits. In one of their pictures Ayanda can be seen wearing the Adidas tracksuit set in question and her late husband in his.
Speaking to DRUM, Percy said the pants were a gift from Ayanda. “The pants were given to me by my big sister; I don’t see the big deal here. She would never give me bhuti’s (Sfiso’s) pants.”
