Prices have gone up and Dj Tira now charges up to R100k for any contribution he makes to a song.
The legendary DJ is well known for his signature sound ‘Chikichikichaaaaaa’ – and he has decided to capatalize on it.
In a tweet on Thursday night, the 40-year-old wrote, “For all artists/ DJs who wants Chikichikichaaaaaa on their songs.... the price has gone up! R50k. Verse is R70k. Chorus is R100k.”
DJ Tira is also the founder of Afrotainment which is home of successful Durban artists such as Distruction Boyz, Naakmusiq and Dream Team.
He has also been featured in a number of record breaking songs such as: iScathulo by Tipcee ft Busiswa and more recent hit, Pakisha by Dladla Mshunqisi.
Twitter users, however, were not too impressed with the DJ’s exuberant prices.
