Isibaya’s current storyline ruffled a few feathers when MaDlamini found her husband, Mpiyakhe Zungu, in bed with Lethu – a woman who’s been lusting over him for some time.
Lethu (played by Zethu Dlomo) joined Isibaya as the river princess. She saved Mpiyakhe (played by Siyabonga Thwala) after his fight with the Ngwenyas. To return the favour, Zungu rescued Lethu, who was turned into a river princess by her uncle, Zitha, after her father died.
But now the same Lethu is wrecking Mpiyakhe’s marriage for her own selfish reasons. She got muti from Mehlemamba (Senzo Vilakazi), claiming she was struggling to sleep – only to use it to spike Mpiyakhe’s tea.
When MaDlamini found Lethu in bed with Mpiyakhe, all hell broke loose. Like a woman possessed, Lethu confessed her undying love for Mpiyakhe.
We can’t really blame her – Mpiyakhe’s a very good-looking man – but would you go that far to get your crush’s attention?
