Khloe Kardashian’s whirlwind romance with NBA player James Harden ended almost as quickly as it begun.
The pair dated back in 2015 and it’s only in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated that James finally opened up about why he dumped the youngest Kardashian sister.
Explaining how 2015 was “the worst year of his life” James said, “I feel like it was for no reason.”
“I wasn’t getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don’t need that," he explained. "It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t me."
The 28-year-old dated Khloe around the time her ex-husband Lamar Odom was hospitalised and Khloe decided to help him get back to health. During this time her relationship with James was being watched closely by the media who suspected that she would get back with Lamar.
Although James does not mention Khloe’s name he does speak about a certain trip where he was swamped by paparazzi.
“I don’t need pictures of myself when I’m driving my car. Who cares? What shoes am I wearing? Who cares? Where am I eating? Who cares? It was unnecessary stuff that I think trickled down to my teammates. I had to eliminate that," he continued.
All this attention ultimately led to him ending the relationship.
Khloe has never commented on her failed relationship with James Harden.
