Cape Town - 26-year-old Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe on Sunday, and early Monday morning had her very first interview on popular US show Good Morning America.
Speaking on the show, Zozi said that "everything is still sinking in".
She added: "People keep calling me Miss Universe and I keep looking away cause I think I forgot that it's me."
Zozibini touched on her powerful speech at the pageant in which she addressed the importance of teaching young females leadership skills.
Oprah Winfrey was one of many people who agreed with Zozi's message and tweeted about it too. The 26-year-old said she could not believe that Oprah had written the post about her.
The interview then turned to representation in the industry, with Zozibini previously mentioning that her goal was to break stereotypes surrounding the pageant world and unrealistic beauty standards women often have to live up to.
"I was hoping to change that narrative and to say, look, women are multifaceted. We're not all the same, we shouldn't be boxed into one type of beauty," she said.
