In a new interview, the 33-year-old shows a more sensitive side while he eats increasingly hot chicken wings.

Shia was the first guest of the tenth season of the First with Feast talk show Hot Ones.

There has been a lot of buzz around his two new films Peanut Butter Falcon and the semi-autobiography Honey Boy, which he wrote while he was completing a court-ordered stint in rehab.

During the 30-minute chat with Sean Evans Shia talked about his style, his work and told the real-life story behind those onset rumours we all heard about, and the controversial headlines.'

About that fight with his Lawless co-star Tom Hardy he shared that while he and his girlfriend at the time were having some quality time, Tom ran into the room.

"She covered up, and she ran into the kitchen, and he picked me up, and I didn't have nothing on so now I'm naked on his shoulder. We're in the hallway; we're wrestling around."

He continued: "We wound up like inching over to where the stairs were, and he fell down the stairs, and he wound up hurting his back. So for the rest of the shoot, he told everybody I knocked him out, but that wasn't the case. We were having some weird like cutie wrestling match."

Towards the end of the interview the talented actor spoke proudly about his work at the Slauson R.C. Theater School, an unconventional, experimental theatre company – which is celebrating its first birthday.

"Four of my kids got on some Netflix shows, which is awesome. We have some shows tonight. We built a little family; everybody loves each other. We hang out on the weekends," said Shia.
