Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's adorable labrador's name has just been revealed – and it holds a special meaning to the couple.
According to an excerpt published by People from royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand's new book, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, the couple named their black lab Pula.
Pula was a rescue dog who joined their family in 2018 after the royal wedding.

According to the book, Harry and Meghan named their furry friend Pula after the official currency of Botswana, remembering their time in the African country before getting engaged.
You'll recall, shortly after they started dating Harry and Meghan went on a secret getaway to Botswana. Harry revealed the trip during his engagement interview with Meghan Markle, reports Vogue, saying: "We camped out with each other under the stars. It was absolutely fantastic."
Further to their precious time, Scobie and Durand reveal Pula also means "rain" in Setswana. And because rain is so scarce in the country, it's considered valuable and a blessing – a fitting name for their adorable pup!
