Cape Town – Since stepping into the spotlight as a royal, Meghan, 37, has become, among other inspiring things, a style icon.
Following their engagement announcement, details of the ring Harry put on Meghan’s finger became a trending topic.
The 34-year-old prince designed the gold-banded ring himself, using two diamonds from one of Diana’s brooches as well as a diamond he purchased in Botswana.

And while it was reported that jewellers would not be making replicas of the Duchess of Sussex’s beautiful piece of jewellery, the Buckingham Palace gift shop is now selling lookalikes.
Titled the ‘Buckingham Palace Statement Ring’, the royal gift shop describes the ring - which is made of sparkling crystals set on palladium plated metal - as “inspired by the engagement ring of Meghan Markle.”
The ring is selling for a cool £30,00 (R563,95) and its band can be adjusted. It can also be purchased and worn as part of a set with matching earrings and pendant.
