So Lance Armstrong came clean to Oprah and admitted to doping.
It was a big week for TV. All anyone could talk about on Twitter over those two days (the special episode of Oprah's Next Chapter was aired in two parts over two days) was Lance Armstrong.
Oprah's interviewed former convicts. She went to interview convicts while they were still in jail. She's interviewed Michael Jackson, for goodness sake.
My point is: This is Oprah's deal.
She gets people to 'fess up to things on TV in a way no one else can. It's dramatic, punctuated with just the right amount of tense background music, and it makes us all go Oooh!
It's a production. Nothing more, nothing less. Lance Armstrong was simply the title character this time around.
No doubt because of the hype around this interview - and the confession - it seems natural that a movie would follow soon after. We scratched our heads for some stars who could portray the former cycling star. Check out our gallery here.
But while we're waiting to see Matt Damon/Chris Evans/Michael Fassbender tramp the pedals for some medals on the big screen, there are some other amazing movies on circuit at the moment. Tarantino's Django Unchained, the epic Les Misérables and the mesmerising Life of Pi are all Oscar-nominated flicks you shouldn't miss out on.
