Justin Bieber talks challenging Tom Cruise to a fight: 'I'm the Conor McGregor of entertainment'

Remember when Justin Bieber tagged Dana White, the head of the UFC, on twitter, when he challenged Tom Cruise to a fight?

"I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don't take this fight you're scared, and you will never live it down." he tweeted.

Well, the 25-year-old is admitting now that he was just "being stupid".

The Yummy singer appeared on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden when he addressed the "perplexing" decision to take Tom Cruise on.

"Why?" the talkshow host asked before the two started laughing.

"I was just being stupid, to be honest," Justin said, before adding he thought it would be a funny tweet. James went on to say he'd back Tom Cruise if it ever happened, but Justin believes he would still win in a fight.

"He's not the guy you see in movies," Justin joked. James says the Mission Impossible actor is in phenomenal shape though to which Justin responded, "Phenomenal shape doesn't mean you're a good fighter."

James suggested the Changes hitmaker should make his way up to Tom Cruise. "Do me, then do like Zach Braff, and then do Tom Cruise.

"You're mesmerised by the characters he plays," Justin says to which James responds, "I'm mesmerised by the man."

The two go back and forth before Justin quips, "I'm the Conor McGregor of entertainment."
