Cape Town – British pop star Ed Sheeran has been officially named the UK's Official Number One Artist of the Decade, claiming the most numbers across and weeks spent at the top of the Official UK Chart.
The Official Charts Company have crowned the Shape of You singer with UK's Official Number One Artist of the Decade while also honouring him with the official chart record-breaker award.
The 28-year-old has earned the most number ones across the official singles and albums chart between 2010 and 2019 with 12 number ones.
The singer has also spent the most weeks at number one across the official singles and albums charts with a staggering 79 weeks at the top according to the charting company.
In a post on his Instagram, the singer –who recently toured South Africa – wrote: "Thank you to everyone who's supported me over the past 10 years, especially my amazing fans. Here's to the next 10!"
