Cape Town – So a lot's happened since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split less than a month ago.
As you know, the couple called it quits just eight months after tying the knot with the Nothing Breaks Like A Heart singer's rep releasing a statement saying the two have simply evolved as individuals and had decided they needed to both focus on themselves and their respective careers.
Our hearts were broken, but for the most part, it seemed like an amicable split. Until, of course, the subtle Instagram posts gave us a little insight, and then suddenly, the not-so-subtle breakup anthem, currently climbing its way up the charts, gave us a whole lot more. Since their split was announced, Miley released Slide Away although insiders said the singer wasn't ready to file for divorce just yet, while Liam was seen eating ice cream with brother Chris in Australia. He took to Instagram saying he wishes Miley nothing but "health and happiness" and, soon after, filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences".
Now, just three weeks after their split, Miley's moved in with blogger, Kaitlynn Carter, who also recently split from Brody Jenner – and the plot thickens.
A source close to the singer told PEOPLE, "They [Miley and Kaitlynn] live together and are very happy. Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn."
Meanwhile, a source close to Liam told ET the Hunger Games actor isn't "surprised" by Miley's relationship with Kaitlynn.
"Miley's behaviour is no shock to Liam. He is hurt but not surprised. The last several months they've been talking about taking a break.
"Liam's been frustrated with some of her antics and, in turn, Miley claims she 'needs her space,'" the source said and continued, "This seems to be a pattern in their relationship."
Again, the source – and many others over the past few weeks – have said they wouldn't completely rule out the couple getting back together in future. But now, with Miley having moved in with Kaitlynn, we're not so sure.
